It seems that every time i look in the country section, theres another question about why taylor swift is so popular and if she is even country. I've seen similar things about carrie underwood. It makes me really angry, that people would actually complain about country singers in the country section! If you don't like the song, change the station and stop complaining! Everyone state your opinion!

The "war" on here is getting a bit old,but as long as it is about country music, people have the freedom to post whatever they like.It's the people who trash the two you mentioned, then turn around and act like Keith Urban or Martina Mcbride,Shania,Faith etc are REAL country are the ones who crack me up. If you're gonna trash one,trash em all.Pull up the current top 20 chart and you may find 2 legit country music artists on it.(Maybe that is).Carrie has actually moved up some in my book,she's about as country as you're gonna find on mainstream top 40 country stations these days and 10 number 1 songs on only 2 cd's you pretty much need to tip your hat to her.Bottom line,"pop" is short for popular.Everytime you turn on your local mainstream top 40 country station,you're listening to "pop music".Real Country Music is alive and well,you just won't find it (much of it anyway) on mainstream radio right now.Many other avenues have it that people just won't take the time to find.
